Similarities between Klingons and USSR Russians?

Bridge Design really sucks. Here you have one guy has a throne, the rest of the folks sit around being his yes-men. In fact the whole command structure sucks.

Despite the huge emphasis on power tripping and feeling godly and superhuman, which is bad, hopefully a lot of viewers take away the message from Star Trek that science is worth pursuing. The whole thing seems to be a bit of a product of its time in its overemphasis on pandering to the human desire for power and influence. That's a large part of the allure, but hopefully people come for the power tripping and stick around for the sugar-coated medicine. Namely, science good, open-mindedness good, try your best. Actually, it has a lot in common with the Gundam franchise. Or, more darkly, the Oldboy quote "Even though I'm worse than a beast, don't I deserve to live?"

There are similarities between Star Trek and the Filthy Frank show. Really. If you don't buy that then take this challenge: watch an episode of one after an episode of the other, then continue in the same manner.

Apparently, now totalitarian regimes are convincing their adherents to go online and claim "Star Trek is American propaganda!" which is a total fucking crock. I'll be honest though, it's not too far-fetched to imagine that they'd go for Star Wars next. "Star Wars is American propaganda!" tbh, this moronic claim, this I would like to see
