• Medcard App How to get a med card in your state, and other helpful resources. Don't get on long-term opiates if you don't have to! If you've got chronic pain, I have heard you might just have luck with topical treatments more than edibles, and with strains high in CBD. But in my experience the folks behind the counter at MMJ places tend to really know what they're doing, talk to them.
• Dixie Elixirs This is weed pills. Not recommended for anyone unless you have chronic pain or some other debilitating medical condition. Can cause hormonal imbalance and other side effects. Included here because opiates suck. They are probably the worst drug on the planet and the true gateway drug. Supposedly marijuana is subversive, glamorous, and the in thing to do in order to be cool. Like, whatever man. Being authentic to yourself is rarer and therefore more cool.
• Leafly Website for learning about weed and finding whatever you need related to it. Note: I do not recommend smoking it, as it can and will damage your lungs. They now offer delivery, which is extremely important for medical marijuana patients, so take a look if you need to.
• Leafly Learn Definitely a blog worth following. Has some good info about the why, how, and history of marijuana. I'd also say that their legalization map is a pretty good indicator of social progress, as who would deny a cancer patient marijuana? The merciless states on that map, that's who. I'd also bet $5 those are the same states having issues with antivaxxers.
• Note to anyone who grows or breeds this stuff: a lot of chronic pain patients, myself included, are looking for a strain with minimal side effects that does not get you high but treats specific kinds of pain - nerve pain, muscle pain, joint pain, pain in general, etc. If you manage to breed this holy grail of Mary Jane, and/or discover ways of processing it to attain these pain control goals, you'll also help get rid of the opiate epidemic
