Traveling
If you have to travel, here are some companies I recommend from long experience traveling:
- Frontier Airlines. Added 2/11/24 The only company to have any sort of science in their pandemic flying protocol pre-vaccine. They've also long been the greenest airline. As in they've done their best on that front for more than 15 years. Now, it looks like they have increased their efforts, and this after they went bankrupt and apparently resurrected. In my experience, they also did not put me through unnecessary hassles and heartache like other airlines.
- The Parking Spot Really underrated for reducing airport hassle and worth the cost
- Kayak For helping get plane tickets, transportation, and more
- Airbnb Better than motels and hotels.
- Avis Best rental car service.
- Walmart Luggage and backpacks, items for flying or taking public transport that can make it more comfortable without airport levels of price gouging but still higher quality than what's at an airport. Of note is all the stuff you'd otherwise get at a gas station too, particularly things like Igloo coolers and Nalgenes.
